Before joining Antonini & Cohen as a paralegal, Silvia served the Latin American Association (just down the road from Antonini & Cohen) as an office coordinator and later as a paralegal in their litigation area.
Silvia has always been interested in immigration, being an immigrant herself, and she had studied law in Venezuela before moving to the United States. Working with Atlanta’s immigrant communities, Silvia quickly learned of Carolina Antonini, one of the founding partners at Antonini & Cohen; as soon as a job opening appeared, she applied.
“At Antonini & Cohen, I’ve learned so much,” Silvia says. “I have the opportunity to work with many types of cases. I spend about a third of my time reviewing cases with attorneys, talking with clients, and researching their cases. Even though the cases can be difficult, she enjoys the people she works with. It’s inspiring to see how knowledgeable her bosses are—they really know what they’re doing.”
When she’s not working, Silvia is often traveling—or planning her next trip! She loves visiting new places, although Paris is one of her all-time favorites. She’s always trying to work Paris into her other journeys. You can also catch her enjoying a bite at Food Terminal on Buford Highway.
