ANTONINI & COHEN ANNOUNCES NEW PARTNER KATHLEEN HOYOS

Updated: Dec 2, 2022

Beginning her journey over 10 years ago as a receptionist at Antonini & Cohen, Kathy then became a full-time paralegal with us. While doing this full-time work, she pursued her Juris Doctor at Georgia State University and took advantage of volunteering opportunities for the Hispanic community.

Kathy is truly a force of nature whose dedication and drive to help immigrants shines through in her work and personal life. For these reasons, she was quickly promoted from a paralegal to a lawyer on our team and continued to show excellence in her work. Kathy always does her absolute best for her clients and has several case wins under her belt. When she takes on a case, she makes sure that the outcome is as positive as possible for her client; and goes the extra mile to make sure they feel heard.

As well as being an incredible attorney, Kathy is accomplished in other areas as well. In addition to receiving her JD from Georgia State University, she also has a B.A. in Romance Languages (French and Italian.) Plus, she has received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Refugee and Asylum Law, and she was a New York University Higher Education Opportunities Program Scholar. Kathy is Director of Membership for the Georgia Hispanic Bar Association and she is a member of the American Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Georgia Hispanic Bar Association.

Here is what clients are saying about Kathy:

“I will forever be grateful for the excellent immigration work by Kathleen Hoyos and Antonini & Cohen for getting my mother to be a permanent resident in the USA. Kathleen took us through this incredibly complicated process with such great ease and expertise. Not only is she an excellent professional, but she is also an awesome person with a heart of gold who works nonstop to make a great difference in people’s lives.” – Lars N.

We could not be more proud to welcome her as a partner and are delighted to have watched her grow into a valuable asset and member of our team.
