Xochitl Gomora is an Associate Attorney at Antonini & Cohen, where she draws on years of experience advocating for Atlanta’s immigrant community and helping families get the support they urgently need.

Xochitl graduated cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law, becoming the first attorney in her family. While attending night classes during law school, she worked full-time at a nonprofit that provides free legal representation and resources to unaccompanied immigrant children. She also served in the law school’s Immigration Clinic, where she gained a deeper understanding into the complex issues that can arise in immigration cases.

As a daughter of immigrant parents, Xochitl is driven by a deep desire to do more. She wants to bring other immigrants the same look of joy and relief she saw on her own parents’ faces when they finally obtained legal status after so many years of waiting. She is committed to reuniting families, both those abroad and those in the U.S. who have been forced apart. She also hopes to help other Latino students break barriers and reach their own aspirations, and to pay forward the kindness, patience, and support she has received throughout her life. Her personal experience and the humanity she brings to her work make her a compassionate and tenacious advocate.

Outside of work, Xochitl enjoys spending time with her family, collecting Smiskis, and building Lego sets.
