Georgia Department of Drivers Services – Extension Services During COVID-19

In light of the public health concerns arising from the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Georgia Department of Drivers Services (DDS) will automatically extend for 120 days the following documents expiring between March 14, 2020 and June 30, 2020:

  1. License

  2. ID

  3. Permit (except for Class CP learners permits)

This extension also applies to non-U.S. citizens and will be provided free of charge via mail within 30 days. This extension will be provided regardless of the expiration date on the immigration document you provided to DDS.

This extension also includes temporary license, ID or permit extensions that were issued while awaiting new immigration documentation or pending adjudication of your immigration applications.

If you need immigration assistance, we’re open, flexible, and ready to help. Contact the Atlanta immigration attorneys at Antonini & Cohen online or by calling 404-850-9394.
