Patty was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. In 2017, she fled to the United States from Venezuela as a political refugee, running from political persecution, torture, and death. Her destination was the US, a country that has demonstrated great solidarity with its hemispheric neighbors and the most vulnerable people. Her family found themselves in a friendly community with a great sensitivity towards human suffering. This community received them with open arms and allowed them to restart their lives in a safe environment, free of threats. Paty said, “We saw the light at the end of the tunnel! I have been able to restart my career and demonstrate to my countrymen and Hispanic peers that ‘Yes We Can!’ with faith, discipline, and perseverance, we can reach our goals and outdo ourselves every day with a positive attitude."
She spends her free time with her family and enjoys watching movies, hiking, and walking with her Great Saint Bernard!
