Zuhra is an Associate Attorney at Antonini & Cohen Immigration Law Group, where she is committed to guiding individuals and families through complex immigration matters with compassion and care. Her background in public interest and humanitarian law reflects a deep dedication to serving immigrant communities and advocating for those in need.

Raised in Clarkston, Georgia, as a daughter of Afghan immigrants, Zuhra’s upbringing taught her to appreciate diversity in the community and to embrace her unique cultural identity. At a young age, she learned the importance of diligence and perseverance in building a life in the United States. Motivated by these values, Zuhra chose to pursue a legal career with the goal of advocating for minority groups facing injustice and empowering individuals who strive for stability within the US. 

 

Zuhra began her legal career in public interest law, serving at the Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP) in Savannah, Georgia. In this capacity, she assisted indigent populations with legal matters involving the Georgia Department of Labor. Following the 2021 evacuations from Afghanistan, Zuhra transitioned to the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network (GAIN), where she provided legal assistance to Afghan newcomers seeking asylum and other forms of humanitarian immigration relief. 

 

Zuhra has represented individuals before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services as well as the Executive Office of Immigration Review. She has also trained pro bono attorneys and law students to volunteer in asylum, TPS, and humanitarian parole pro bono clinics.
