Liann Campagne grew up in Puerto Rico, where she earned her law degree in 2012 and worked as a judicial law clerk. Liann decided to move her family to the United States in 2016 so she could pursue her Master of Laws (LLM) degree at Emory University. While studying immigration law, Liann was introduced to Antonini & Cohen and completed a successful internship. When Liann completed her LLM degree, we welcomed her back to the team full-time as an Associate.
Business immigration cases have been Liann’s main focus at Antonini & Cohen, although she is quickly gaining more experience with family immigration. “Working with businesses, my life is full of documents and paperwork,” Liann commented. “I enjoy that, but I’m also excited to work with more families and gain broader immigration experience.”
With all of her family still living in Puerto Rico, Liann (along with her husband and three daughters) loves returning home to visit. “Besides my family, I miss the ocean and the food,” she added. “We like going to Lake Allatoona in the summer—it’s the closest thing Atlanta has to a beach!”
When she’s missing the flavors of home, Liann and her family like to visit The Porch Light, a local Puerto Rican restaurant. Other favorite dining spots include Papi’s Cuban Grill and Brazilian steakhouses, such as Rio Steakhouse.
Liann volunteers with Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), an organization that offers free legal assistance to unaccompanied children so that no child appears in immigration court without an attorney.
What does Liann like best about working at Antonini & Cohen? “Two things: the great team and the Atlanta skyline view from my desk!”
