As USCIS prepares to re-open its offices and resume non-emergency face to face service, we would like to remind you of the precautions enacted in order to resume processing in the safest possible manner:
You may not enter a USCIS facility if you
Have any COVID-19 symptoms, such as cough, fever or difficulty breathing;
Have been in close contact with anyone known or suspected to have COVID-19 in the last 14 days; or
Have been individually directed to self-quarantine or self-isolate by a health care provider or public health official within the last 14 days
If any of these apply to you, you should contact USCIS at 1800-375-5283 to reschedule your appointment or contact an attorney for assistance with rescheduling
You may not be permitted to enter the facility more than 15 minutes prior to your appointment (30 minutes for naturalization ceremonies)
You may be required to answer health screening questions prior to being permitted to enter the facility
You must wear facial coverings that cover both your mouth and nose when entering the facility. USCIS offices may provide one, however, if one is not available you may be asked to reschedule your appointment resulting in additional delays to your case.
USCIS encourages all applicants to bring their own black or blue ink pens
Please be mindful of all social distancing guidelines, USCIS will have physical barriers and markings throughout the facility to ensure visitors follow these guidelines.
USCIS will work diligently to reschedule your appointment as soon as possible, please allow for at least 90 days from reopening to receive a notice.
