U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced an important update that will affect anyone filing immigration applications. Marshall Cohen, co-founder of Antonini & Cohen Immigration Law Group, discusses what this change means and how applicants can prepare.


Major Payment Policy Change Takes Effect October 28, 2025

Beginning October 28, 2025, USCIS will stop accepting personal checks and money orders for application fees. From that date forward, the only accepted payment methods will be credit card or debit card accompanied by Form G-1650.

  • Review your eligibility and the timing of your application.

  • Double-check that your paperwork and payment are correct before filing.
